Fashionable Inspired Molding Design

Trim and molding design comes not just from the trim catalogs. It comes from a homeowners inspiration. What inspires a homeowner to design a custom room can derive from not just online searches for homes but even from fashion magazines.

It takes a skilled contractor to create that vision and passion to make it come to life. Drawings help create the concept and having conversations about the finish product make it all happen.

During this project we used about 5-8 different paint samples all conceptualizing the modern feel for all the trim and ceiling to have the same color concept. The beautiful aspect of working with the same colors on the walls, ceiling and trim is that you can optimize the color scheme by simply altering the finish of the paint product. For this project we used matte paint for the walls and accented the ceiling by using the same color in a semi-gloss paint finish.

This project is my top 10 favorite projects that I have completed; not because of the finish product but because of the entire developement process used to create it. Literally the homeowner grabbed inspiration from a beautiful fashion magazine. I converted it to wood, molding and trim design.
