Custom Bathroom Storage

As an added feature to this bathroom remodel we noticed after roughing in the bathroom tub the room was historically built in a manner that left nearly 12”+ of added space before meeting with the exterior wall.

Rather than closing this space in and creating deadspace between the end of the tub and the exterior wall we decided to reframe and build a custom cabinet for storage. This is always a nice added feature that is not only enjoyed at the completion of the project but adored many years later as a “Unique Feature”. It expresses utilizing what would normally be closed up and wasted space.

This added cabinet can be used for all those smaller items that need a nice place to be kept away and help keeping the bathroom neat and tidy. The cabinet was constructed using solid wood materials, primed and painted with semi-gloss paints. The door was fabricated on site using wooden materials and opens and closes with standard hinges. The interior consists of wood shelving.

At lok designs llc we always find the best way to utilize any extra space in a room; especially the smaller renovation rooms such as bathrooms and closets. It is not only beneficial to the homeowners but enables us as a contractor to be creative and make a bathroom remodel not just a remodel but something special and unique. 10 years from know i am certain that someone will still be able to look at this custom cabinet and say “Wow! whoever came up with that idea was crafty and creative!”
